Identity and exhibition design for curators Grace McQuilten & Shanti Sumartojo produced an exhibition titled, ‘Art Labour and Working Life’ at the Mission to Seafarer, Melbourne Docklands. The exhibition showcased a combination of artists and designers, highlighting the importance of artistic dexterity in an increasingly digitised world, reflecting the “condition of workers worldwide” (Sumartojo, 2018).
This cross-disciplinary art exhibition engaged the artists directly by working onsite throughout the event. The exhibition was carried out on May Day, known as “International Workers’ Day”( Davide 2011,p15).
